Celebrating Volunteers

This is a video segment from a project I created for Special Districts Association of Oregon.  I loved this story about Dave Haberman and his dedication to volunteer countless hours for his community.  He saw things that needed to happen in his community and he rolled up his sleeves and got to work.  I was inspired and I hope you will be to watching this video.

Movin' In

On August 26, I did one of those run and gun projects where you shoot the video in the morning and show the edited footage in the evening.  This project was created for Corban University.  New students were getting registered and moving in to the dorms.  Ryan Riffle helped with the videography on this project.

A Kind Word

It's always a treat to receive positive feedback from appreciative clients.  I recently created a PhotoStory that celebrates the life of Virginia Meyer.  Linda Loudermilk, the client I created the video for, wrote the following words:

"I just wanted to say a big Thank You for the beautiful dvd video you did of Virginia Meyer.  I didn't really know what to expect but this is certainly beyond what I would have expected.  We have watched it twice now and cried both times on how beautiful a dvd you put together for us.  We will certainly cherish this always.  We will ask you to put together another one for us, in the near future, of our children when they were little.
Thank you again.  It's a beautiful video commemorating the life of Virginia."

Dramatic Difference Ministries Inc.

Last week I sat down with Dr. Alan Niquette, Co-Founder of Dramatic Difference Ministries and talked to him about how he began this ministry.  I produced this video as a part of a project for a video production class that I teach at Corban University.  This video was shot on a Canon Rebel T2i and edited on Final Cut Pro.  The B-Roll of the drama presentations were ripped from a DVD and turned into QuickTime files by a software program called DVDxDV.  You can learn more about Dr. Niquette's ministry at www.dramaticdifference.org

A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village

This past month I worked with Kassie DeMarsh and the A.C. Gilbert Discovery Village to create an informational video about the community outreach efforts of the Discovery Village.  It was encouraging to hear children and parents talk about the opprotunitues they had to interactive with the educational tools available at the Gilbert House.
